ETS Spoor has supplied Vossloh rail fastenings for use in Eindhoven

NETHERLANDS: Vossloh signed an agreement to acquire ETS Spoor on July 26, saying the rail infrastructure component and services company is an ‘established and leading’ business in the ‘technologically sophisticated and highly innovative’ Dutch market where Vossloh sees ‘outstanding’ growth prospects.

The deal is expected to complete on July 30, with ETS becoming part of Vossloh’s Lifecycle Solutions division. Terms were not disclosed.

ETS Spoor was founded in 1999 and recorded sales of €20m in 2020. The companies have co-operated for a number of years, and Vossloh said ETS’s exclusive distribution agreements with suppliers of products and services outside the Vossloh portfolio would help it to offer clients a ‘one-stop shop’.

‘The acquisition of ETS Spoor plays a key role in the implementation of our group strategy’, said Vossloh CEO Oliver Schuster. ‘It brings us a decisive step closer to important Dutch customers such as ProRail, who have so far purchased our products and services directly or indirectly at ETS Spoor. As a result, we will be in an even better position to tailor our unique technological expertise and our entire range of services to the needs of our customers.

‘The Dutch market is already a pioneer for trendsetting business models in the rail infrastructure sector and we see ourselves excellently positioned to drive this forward and create important added value for our customers.’
