The agreement would see UK suppliers providing support and training for the Bioceanic Corridor project.

BOLIVIA: Minister of Public Works, Services & Housing Milton Claros has signed a memorandum of understanding with James Thornton, UK Ambassador to Bolivia, covering the provision of technical assistance for the Bioceanic Corridor project to create a rail route between Ilo in Peru and Santos in Brazil, requiring new construction in Bolivia.

According to Claros, the agreement would see UK suppliers providing support and training for the project, in areas such as planning, finance, construction and operation of the freight route between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. Thornton highlighted the financial expertise that the UK could provide in the structuring of public-private partnerships.
