INNOTRANS: VDS Rail will be showcasing the Dynamic Consist Composition tool embedded in all its Ethernet consist switches to provide fully automatic, fast and reliable train composition discovery that can if needed be followed by IP network enumeration based on the updated coach sequence.
The Dynamic Consist Composition can be combined with the Train Topology & Configuration Management Protocol framework.
VDS Rail says this offers several benefits, including easy integration into the existing applications as well as flexibility when using vehicles in different trainsets since it does not require any external plug device or electrical relay support.
