CHINA: CRRC Changchun has delivered the first three-car trainset for a 120 km/h maglev line under construction in Qingyuan.
The line will run for 8·1 km between Chimelong Theme Park and an interchange with the Guangzhou – Qingyuan inter-city railway at Yinzhan, with two intermediate stops.
Construction began in December 2017. Future ridership is estimated at 13 100 passengers/day.
There are longer-term plans to expand the line to 38·5 km serving 12 stations.
