CHINA: CRRC has unveiled the first trainset for the Xicheng S1 line which is under construction in the northern part of Wuxi.
The six-car Type B trainset is designed for 120 km/h operation.
The 30·4 km Xicheng S1 line will run from Yanqiao on Line 1 to Jiangyin Waitan in northern Wuxi, with 10·5 km underground and the rest of the route elevated.
Construction began in October 2021 and opening is scheduled for 2024.
