SINGAPORE: Land Transport Authority awarded three contracts for the design and construction of four Jurong Region Line stations for a total of S$596m on February 13.

One of the contracts awarded to China Communications Construction Co covers the design and construction of Boon Lay station and an 800 m viaduct in Jurong West Street 64 for S$172m, and also includes modifications to the existing Boon Lay station on the East-West Line. The works are expected to be completed by 2026.

A S$226·6m contract was signed by Sembcorp Design & Construction covers the design and construction of Gek Poh and Tawas stations and two viaducts with a total length of 1·3 km· This is expected to be completed in 2026.

The third contract was awarded to Daelim Industrial and covers the design and construction of Jurong East station and a 500 m viaduct for S$197·4m. This includes alterations to the existing Jurong East station on the North-South and East-West Lines to integrate it with the new station. The project is expected to be completed by 2027.
