POSSESSION MARKER: The FIXED 3000 RC sleeper developed by Dual Inventive for infrastructure maintenance contractor Strukton Rail incorporates a remote-controlled ZKL 3000 Track Circuit Actuator, which can be used to block a section of track during possessions.
With the hollow sleepers installed at regular intervals along the route to delineate clearly the working zones, Strukton is able to take over and hand back possessions much more rapidly than carrying paper forms to and from the signalling control centre, allowing more work to be done or the possession time to be shortened.
The self-diagnostic ZKL 3000 uses an IP web link to report its status to a central information system, allowing the maintenance organisation to monitor the use and performance of the equipment throughout the network.
