GERMANY: Bayerische Oberlandbahn has placed a €25m order for six Alstom Coradia Lint diesel multiple-units.
The firm order announced on September 16 has been placed using an option on a 2018 contract for 25 DMUs.
All 31 are scheduled to be delivered by 2020, and will be used on services running south from München to Lenggries, Tegernsee and Bayrischzell.
The two-car units will have a maximum speed of 140 km/h, with 158 seats and 12 cycle spaces. They will be equipped with power sockets, a passenger information system and CCTV.
