BRAZIL: Manufacturer T’Trans has resumed wagon production with an order for MRS Logística. The wagons will be assembled at the T’Trans factory in Três Rios in Rio de Janeiro state.

Designed to carry gravel or other aggregates, the Type HNT wagons will feature automated unloading. A prototype is due to be completed and delivered in August. After around two months of testing, the supplier will assemble the rest of the fleet.

Fabrication of rail vehicles at the T’Trans site in Três Rios was suspended in 2018 when the company underwent financial restructuring; in the same year it was acquired by the Itapemirim industrial group which has interests in infrastructure and operates inter-city buses.
