A 1 km extension of Praha tram route 5 from Sídliště Barrandov to Holyně was opened on April 9. This is the first phase of an extension to Slivenec, and was built by Strabag in less than 10 months at a cost of KC170m.

BART SFO station

BART has returned to service the middle track at San Francisco International Airport station, so that all trains can now share the same island platform. This reduces walking distances and makes wayfinding easier. ‘Confusing decision points have been removed, and riders will be pointed to one centre platform for all trains’, said BART.

Impression of Stadler tram for Sarajevo

The European Bank for Reconstruction & Development has signed a €17m loan under its Green Cities programme to finance additional trams and smart technology to reduce road congestion and pollution in Sarajevo. Five more trams will be added to an order for 15 which was awarded to Stadler in 2021 using EBRD and European Investment Bank co-financing that had been approved in 2020.
