UKRAINE: Alstom opened a Ukrainian office in Kyiv on July 1, and has appointed Vadym Pavlenko to lead its Sales & Business Development in the country. Pavlenko previously held export sales and market development positions at domestic rolling stock supplier KVSZ.

‘We are committed to developing our activities in Ukraine and building partnerships with the local industry for the benefit of Ukraine’s economic development’, said Gian Luca Erbacci, Senior Vice-President, Europe, at Alstom. ‘We firmly believe that our long-term expertise in the railway sector, our experience of international partnerships across the world, and our knowledge of the 1 520 mm railway market, specifically in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, will help us serve the needs of Ukrainian Railways.’
