NETHERLANDS: Dutch firm BAM Rail and Germany's Rail. One have signed an agreement to pool their resources for the construction of ballastless track in the Netherlands.

The companies worked together in the joint venture which supplied Rheda 2000 track for HSL Zuid, and now hope to win turnkey contracts to convert existing lines to low-maintenance ballastless track.

Bart Oudmaijer, Director of Projects at BAM Rail, and Richard Ziegler, Managing Director of Rail. One, signed the agreement at the UIC Highspeed 2008 event in Amsterdam
