CHINA: A Railway Intelligent Train Control Laboratory has been opened by CASCO and Shaanxi Railway & Logistics Industry Group, with the aim of creating a ‘domestic first-class and international leading’ research facility based on co-operation between government, industry and academia.
Based in the Xi-Xian New Area, the laboratory is intended to undertake research into next-generation train control technology based on Beidou satellite positioning, with the aim of independently developing innovations, setting industry standards and attracting top industry talent.
Sections of the RITCL are dedicated to work on intelligent train control, intelligent stations and intelligent dispatching. There is also a comprehensive testing area.
