USA: Wagon repair company Freedom Railcar Solutions and International Engineering have announce plans to develop a full-service wagon repair and modification facility in Pueblo, Colorado, by January 2017.

This would offer services for tank and other wagons including interior cleaning, repairs, modification, exterior painting, interior lining and fabrication. The plant would be served by Union Pacific, which interchanges with BNSF at the site, and have space to accommodate 24 wagons undercover and 230 on site.

‘We see this as just the beginning between Freedom and International Engineering and envision future growth and additional service offerings as a result of our growing relationship, not only with International Engineering but with their sister company and new railcar builder BlackIron Railcar’, said Don Walsh, Vice-President of Business Development and co-founder of Freedom Railcar Solutions. ‘We anticipate this being only the first venture for the three companies together in the state of Colorado to include manufacturing.’
