PKC Group has signed a global partnership agreement making it a strategic supplier partner to Bombardier Transportation, ‘with an opportunity to capture 40% to 70% of Bombardier Transportation's annual buy of electrical systems commodity’. The agreement is a global extension to previous local agreement in Europe.

The National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan and state railway KTZ have signed an agreement on co-operation to support domestic suppliers of goods, works and services. This aims to increase the proportion of local content, establish long-term supply contracts, and increase transparency and effectiveness of procurement in the ‘quasi-public’ sector.

CZ Loko has establish an Italian subsidiary at Porto Mantovano, south of Verona. CZ Loko Italia will service 40 Class 753.7/752.5 and two Class 741.7 diesel-electric locos delivered second-hand from the Czech Republic. This is its second foreign subsidiary after CZ Loko Polska, which was formed in 1999.

Leasing company Alpha Trains has joined the Rail Working Group which represents the rail industry’s position relating to the implementation of the 2007 Luxembourg Protocol to the Cape Town Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment.
