Trainline has announced a partnership with Austrian Federal Railways, enabling it to sell all ÖBB products including discounted, Nightjet and Wien City Airport Train tickets.

The UK’s Railway Industry Association has been appointed as a member of the European Commission’s Expert Group on the competitiveness of the rail supply industry. RIA said it would work closely within the group until the UK formally leaves the EU on March 29 2019. ‘It is vital that the UK rail industry continues to engage with EU policy and the international rail industry’, said RIA Policy Manager Damian Testa. ‘We are therefore delighted to be accepted as a member of this new Expert Group which will ensure that the views of contractors, manufacturers, consultants and the whole UK industry are heard and shared for the benefit of both UK and European railways.’
