The Vidi online travel platform now sells tickets for Kuala Lumpur’s Express Rail Link airport service. ERL CEO Noormah Mohd Noor said Vidi enables travellers to plan and choose activities on a single platform, and would ‘certainly broaden our sales distribution’.

RATP Group has opened an office in Singapore that will serve as its headquarters for the Asia-Pacific region. Shaun Tan heads the RATP Dev Asia Pacific subsidiary. RATP Group said that it intends build strong co-operation with Singapore’s public transport authorities and operators through partnerships.

MEN has joined the HASELNUSS consortium of DB Netz, the Fraunhofer Institute, Sysgo and Technische Universität Darmstadt which is developing hardware-based safety platforms for railway control and security technology.

Bentley Systems has acquired London-based pedestrian flow simulation software company Legion. ‘Pedestrian flows should be considered fundamental design criteria for infrastructure assets like stations or airports which are intrinsically meant to serve the needs of pedestrians’, said Legion founder Douglas Connor. ‘We’re excited to join with Bentley to provide designers, engineers, and owners with pedestrian simulation applications that are integrated with market leading design modelling offerings.’
