Image processing and machine learning company Ardenna’s Rail-Inspector software which analyses visual data captured during aerial surveys to identify trac k anomalies now available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace online store. ‘Rail-Inspector will have a broader exposure to domestic and international railroad track asset owners’, said Business Development Director David M Patterson.

Milena Nikolic

Ticket retailer Trainline has appointed Milena Nikolic as Chief Technology Officer with effect from early July. She joins from Google Play where she was Engineering Director. ‘I’m excited to join a business which has a long-standing history of creating industry leading technology for the rail sector’, she said. ‘ I’ve been really struck by the pioneering culture of the tech team at Trainline, its autonomous working environment and commitment to creating products which empower people to make greener travel choices.’

Rolls-Royce Power Systems

Rolls-Royce is rolling out new branding at its Power Systems business unit, with MTU to be used as product branding, and Rolls-Royce to be used as the corporate and employer brand. MTU Friedrichshafen is now Rolls-Royce Solutions, and other local and regional companies of Rolls-Royce Power Systems will be renamed by the end of September 2021.

Lanco International has sold its Technical Services International, Hubert Line and Hubert Rail companies to Remprex. President & CEO of Remprex Remy Diebes said ‘we continue to expand our line of services in the rail and port facility space and see unlimited growth opportunities ahead of us.’

Stockholm based travel agency start-up All Aboard has become an official Interrail Pass sales distributor. The company was launched last year and aims to make long-distance rail travel in Europe easier to plan and book.
