Combilift Handler DTVS

Turnout manufacturer DT Výhybkárna a Strojírna has commissioned two Combilift MG machines for the flexible and safe handling of large and heavy components, which it says are the first of their kind in the Czech Republic. ‘The Combilift MG handlers are four-wheel diesel-powered machines equipped with remote control for all functions via a portable control panel’, said CEO Marek Smolka. ‘Thanks to their multi-directional movement, they can easily manoeuvre even in confined spaces. Each machine has a lifting capacity of 25 tonnes and they can also operate in tandem, which significantly increases our ability to handle demanding logistics tasks and, in principle, allows us to load almost anything.’

Inland Rail Supplier Capability Workshop file

The Inland Rail Skills Academy is working with Deborah Wilson Consulting Services to hold Pathways to Opportunities workshops for local and Indigenous businesses and social enterprises, new and established businesses, and SMEs wanting to sell goods or services to Inland Rail on its Illabo to Stockinbingal project. Businesses will learn how to engage with buyers, prepare competitive tender submissions, and manage contracts for work on major projects.

The EULYNX signalling standardisation group of 18 infrastructure managers and the EU-Rail System Pillar industry platform have published EULYNX Baseline Set 4 Release 4. EULYNX said the specification set has reached a stable maturity level and is now closed to functional changes or new features.

Russian Railways has awarded Evraz’s Novokuznetsk plant a contract to supply 161 000 tonnes of DT350BC400 rail for the planned Moskva – St Petersburg high speed line. The requirements for use in temperatures ranging from -60°C to +60°C and running speeds up to 400 km/h have been assessed by the VNIIZhT research centre.

On July 18 S&P Global Ratings affirmed Eurofima’s long and short-term issuer credit ratings of AA/A-1+. The stable outlook reflects S&P’s expectation that Eurofima’s capital adequacy will remain strong, and the institution will preserve its relevance in the market, while funding and liquidity will remain robust. On June 13 Fitch Ratings affirmed Eurofima’s long-term issuer default rating at AA with a stable outlook and short-term IDR at F1+. Fitch has also affirmed Eurofima’s senior notes at AA.

Northrail has appointed Björn Schwarten as Chief Financial Officer from November 1, enabling Volker Simmering to concentrate fully on his responsibilities as CEO. Schwarten’s previous roles have included Head of Finance and interim Chief Financial Officer at VTG GmbH.

Amey has appointed Kamini Choudhry as Business Director for Australia, marking her return to the company to lead the integration of Premise.
