SMEC: Singapore-based urban development consultancy Surbana Jurong announced its acquisition of 100% of Australian infrastructure consultancy SMEC Holdings for S$400m on August 1. The combined business has revenue of S$1·1bn, with 9 800 employees in more than 95 offices across 40 countries in Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas.
