AUSTRIA: Rolling stock gangway, automatic door and interior fitting supplier Ultimate Europe is investing €12m in a headquarters and production base at St Georgen am Ybbsfeld to the east of Amstetten.
The company currently employs 125 staff at three sites in the Amstetten area which will be amalgamated to create a ‘future-oriented’ complex for up to 220 employees.
The 18 000 m2 site will include office, production, research and development areas as well as a product showroom.
The architect is Jörg Stadlbauer and general contractor Planraum. Features will include a heat pump and photovoltaic power supply, green outdoor areas and electric vehicle charging points.
Construction is scheduled to start in February 2021 for completion by February 2022.
Ultimate Europe envisages that merging its facilities will provide an increase in efficiency and help it to achieve an annual turnover of €100m to €120m in the next five years. The company also has sites in Poland, Romania and Turkey, and employs about 250 people in total.
