AFRICA: Freight transport agreements have been signed by Bolloré Transport & Logistics railway concessionaires Camrail, which operates in Cameroon, and Sitarail which links Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso.

Bolloré and forestry company SEPBC have agreed to work together to increase the volume of timber exported from Cameroon. Camrail will transport wood from Bélabo to the Bessengué logistics hub and then in containers to the Port of Douala, with SEPBC responsible for loading and Bolloré in charge of lifting and transfer operations.

Sitarail is to deliver 400 000 tonnes of petroleum products per year from Côte d'Ivoire refiner SIR to Burkina Faso hydrocarbon company SONABHY’s depots at Bobo-Dioulasso and Ouagadougou. Sitarail said it would make a significant investment in railway equipment to carry this traffic.
