INTERNATIONAL: DB Schenker is organising the delivery of a total of 186 containers with more than 1 300 tonnes of medical protective equipment from China to hospitals in the Lombardia region of Italy.

The products are collected from the factories and taken by road to the container terminal in Xi’an, then take 12 days to travel more than 10 000 km by rail through Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus to Kaliningrad.

The containers are transported by ship to the German port of Rostock, and then by train to DB Schenker’s intermodal terminal in Verona for distribution by road.

The total transit time is 15 days, with DB Schenker offering a door-to-door service from a single source.
