Norwegian private freight operator Onrail has agreed a long-term full-service lease with European Loc Pool covering two winterised Stadler EuroDual six-axle electro-diesel locomotives rated at 6 MW in electric mode and 2·8 MW using the Caterpillar C175 engine. They will be deployed from the end of 2022 on the 1 217 km partially-electrified route between Fauske near Bodø and Oslo, where Onrail is targeting the growing market for transporting fish.

Already published in OTIF’s working languages of French, German and English, it contains more than 1 000 pages of provisions applicable to the cross-border transport of dangerous goods by rail between the 45 RID contracting states in Europe, Asia and North Africa.
