HUNGARY: National Infrastructure Development Co has appointed Siemens to install ETCS Level 2 equipment on the 26 km double-track Százhalombatta – Pusztaszabolcs route south of Budapest.
Under the contract announced on May 9, Siemens is to supply its Trainguard 200 technology, a radio block centre, two Trackguard Simis IS electronic interlockings and Wayguard Simis LC equipment for six level crossings, as well as power supplies and telecoms.
Commissioning is planned by December 2020.
