But by focusing on the impending inauguration of US President-Elect Joe Biden and the EU’s Year of Rail, we are capturing only a fraction of the world’s railways, and by extension only a fraction of the benefits that rail and metro investment can deliver globally in terms of meeting the world’s most pressing challenges, in particular climate change.
