MALAYSIA: MRT Corp announced on September 9 that it had awarded a consortium of Indra (80%) and Rasma Corp (20%) a 152·9m ringgit contract to supply an automatic fare collection system for use on the future Klang Valley Line 2. The Spanish-Malaysian consortium beat four other bidders.

The 52·2 km metro line, also known as the SSP Line, will link Sungai Buloh, Serdang and Putrajaya. Opening is due in 2022.
