ASIA: Malaysia’s Ministry of Transport and Singapore’s Land Transport Authority have appointed a consortium of Systra, Minconsult and Bureau Veritas as independent verification and validation agent for the Johor Bahru – Singapore Rapid Transit System metro.
The consortium will undertake assessment and verification to ensure that the 4 km cross-strait line is technically and operationally safe when it opens at the end of 2026, and that it meets the performance and reliability targets set by the project promoters.
The audit will cover all phases of the project from design to commissioning, operation and maintenance, and includes the signalling, rolling stock, control centre and traction power supplies.
