‘New York metro’ concept in updated Northeast Corridor modernisation plan

Amtrak and the NEC Commission consortium of stakeholders in the USA’s busiest passenger rail route have updated their plans for modernisation of the 735 km Northeast Corridor

USA: Amtrak and its local and federal partners are proposing a major uplift in commuter and inter-city services between New York and New Jersey to create a ‘metro-style’ service offering at peak hours, subject to capacity enahncements in the Northeast Corridor being fully funded.
