Amtrak joins loyalty scheme

Alaska Airlines has extended its frequent flyer programme benefits to allow air-miles to be redeemed against rail tickets for the Coast Starlight and local trains in Amtrak’s Pacific Northwest region. Mileage is accumulated by flying Alaska or using partner airlines Northwest, TWA and KLM.
