KAZAKHSTAN: Under a programme co-ordinated by consultancy DB International, 150 junior and mid-ranking managers from Kazakh national railway KTZ are to receive training in commercial and managerial skills from DB Mobility Logistics AG.

The courses, which are being run into two batches until the end of October, will focus on enhancing the young managers’ understanding in four key areas: organisation and management in the rail system; retail sales and marketing; development of information technology; and automation in the rail sector.

‘DB has extensive experience of implementing new models of leadership which can be useful to your employees’, commented Patricia Heydrich, one of the programme managers at DB. ‘We are well aware that KTZ is a successful developing company with which we already have a great strategic partnership.’
