KRASNOYARSK Electric Railcar Repair Facility has completed the overhaul of an ER9P-311 electric multiple-unit, intended to improve passenger comfort on Russian Railways’ Krasnoyarsk - Abakan route.

The AC EMU has been fitted with automatic doors, modern fire safety systems and upgraded heating. Three first-class carriages have been added to the set, new interior panelling fitted and on-board passenger information improved. The traction equipment has been modernised, and the cabs are fitted with air-conditioning units.

  • Moscow Railway is introducing a fleet of luxury sleeping cars on its Moscow - Nizhni Novgorod services. Based on vehicles built by the Tver car plant they feature private toilets and showers, heated floors and air-conditioning. Four compartments will each have their own flat-screen television and DVD player.
