CHIP & PIN payments are being accepted by Atos Origin Avantix hand-held ticket machines using technology from Casio Electronics and CreditCall.
The Avantix machines use EmvX CE software from CreditCall running on a Windows CE based Casio EJ300 computer, which is combined with a secure PIN pad and card reader. A GSM link can be used to permit real-time authorisation of credit and debit card transactions.
