Siemens said it had now sold more than 700 Vectron locomotives.

EUROPE: Rath Group has awarded Siemens a contract to supply three Vectron multisystem locomotives for use by its RTB Cargo subsidiary.

The locomotives are scheduled to be delivered from Siemens’ München-Allach factory from December.

The 6·4 MW locomotives will be equipped to use 15 kV 16·7 Hz, 25 kV 50 Hz, 1·5 kV DC and 3 kV DC electrification, and will be fitted with ETCS as well as national train control systems for operation in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland and Slovakia.

Announcing the latest order on July 9, Siemens said it had now sold more than 700 Vectron locomotives, with Rath Group being the fortieth customer.
