UZBEKISTAN: Toshkent Plant for the Construction & Repair of Passenger Cars is to deliver the first batch of coaches built to its own design for export.
National railway UTY said the plant was improving its capabilities every year, and its ‘Made in Uzbekistan’ Type 61-911 open and Type 61-907 compartment coaches had attracted interest from countries including Russia and Kazakhstan. Certification was obtained in June, and five cars of each type are to be delivered this year.
The designs include offer modern systems of water treatment, air-conditioning and lighting, and a colour scheme to the customer’s specifications.
