SOUTH KOREA: Accommodation, ticketing, package tour and corporate travel booking company Ctrip Group has begun offering Korean rail tickets in its customers’ local languages, starting with sales through Trip.com in 13 languages.

This is Korail’s first partnership with a third-party booking website, according to Ahn Byeong Ho, Senior Executive Director, Passenger Business, at the national operator. ‘With a huge consumer base across China and a growing number of users overseas in Asia, it is the perfect platform to bring Korail services to the world.’

Ctrip Group is aiming to expand its range of rail products, and said it would ‘continue to pursue partnerships to allow users to buy rail tickets in a range of markets including Germany, Italy, Taiwan and more’.
