Union Pacific’s PS Technology subsidiary acquired the TrainMaster division of PI Engineering in July, giving it the capability to offer 3D simulation training for train crew. TrainMaster is used by UP and BNSF, and the US Federal Railroad Administration is currently reviewing a simulation programme for training operators to use remote control locomotives.
