Traktionssysteme Austria has appointed NSB subsidiary Mantena to provide servicing, maintenance and spare parts for the Norwegian market.

Polish firm Track Tec has acquired a concrete sleeper factory at Svilajnac in Serbia from Porr Bau and Maba Track Solutions business Track Experts. This adds a further 200 000 sleepers/year to Track Tec group‘s total production capacity, which is now 1·5 million sleepers/year.

Italian testing, inspection, certification and consulting engineering group Rina has signed an agreement to acquire UK-based Edif Group from Phoenix Equity Partners for £118·5m. This will be funded through an equity capital injection from Rina shareholders VEI Capital and NB Renaissance Partners, alongside a new financing facility provided by BNL - BNP Paribas Italy, Unicredit Group, and Banca IMI. ‘This acquisition is strategic and fits very well with Rina due to Edif’s profile in the energy, transport, defence, industry and infrastructure markets’, said Rina Chairman & CEO Ugo Salerno.
