Critical communications supplier Teltronic has strengthened its cybersecurity strategy by obtaining certification under IEC 62443-4-1. This accreditation ensures that the design life-cycle of its products for public transport and other applications complies with international standards for the security of industrial automation and control systems.

Wabtec has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Brazilian track maintenance vehicle and equipment manufacturer Super Metal, saying it offers synergies with Wabtec’s Services portfolio. Ireland’s Commission for Railway Regulation has approved Ricardo Certification as a Designated Body. Ricardo already provides accredited Assessment Body and Notified Body services, and can now offer a ‘one-stop shop’ for independent assurance in Ireland.

Locomotive parts and components distributor PowerRail Australia has relocated within Goulburn, New South Wales, to a site offering more than double the space. ‘We currently receive at least one shipment per week from PowerRail USA, and in turn, we’re shipping out over 100 orders per week all across Australia and New Zealand’, explained director Mick Cooper. ‘The move to a larger facility was necessary to be able to keep up with the demand of our customers’

CAF has reported revenue of €2·19bn for the first nine months of the year, up from €2·03bn for the same period last year. Its order backlog reached a record €11·86bn.
