Niederrhein-Münsterland CAF battery electric multiple-unit (1)

Ruhr transport authority RVR has sold the former Gelsenkirchen-Bismarck depot to CAF, which will use it to maintain battery-electric multiple-units ordered by Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr for use on Niederrhein-Münsterland services from 2025.

Japanese company Nippon Signal Co has established local subsidiary Nippon Signal Bangladesh in Dhaka, where it has supplied and will support signalling, fare collection and platform screen doors for metro Line 6. Nissin Electronic Services has a 30% stake.

TMH traction motor

TMH-Electrotech in Novocherkassk has developed in-house a DTA-380 asynchronous traction motor for 160 km/h Ivolga 3.0 EMUs. Customs Union certification is expected in June.

Cable and pipe seal manufacturer Roxtec UK has appointed Gavin Pettifor as Technical Sales Advisor, supporting its plans for further international growth in sectors including rail infrastructure.

Luke McInerney has joined engineering consultancy XEIAD as Head of Rail, overseeing existing contracts and broadening service provision. He spent eight years at UK infrastructure manager Network Rail, most recently heading the Eastern Region Direct Delivery Team.
