
Siemens Mobility has confirmed that it has sold its minority stake in Ural Locomotives, and is no longer involved in the joint venture with Sinara Group. On April 29 a Siemens Mobility spokesperson told Railway Gazette International that the transaction aligned with Siemens AG’s decision to fully withdraw from the Russian market. According to local media, the Siemens stake has been acquired by Otavit, which was established in mid-2024 and now owns 50% of Ural Locomotives Holding, which in turn owns 100% of Ural Locomotives.
The Institution of Railway Signal Engineers has elected Bogdan Godziejewski, Rail Director at Mott MacDonald (Netherlands), as its 101st President. IRSE said Godziejewski plans to draw on the ‘insights, energy and experiences’ of young professionals. ‘We will need to expand our discipline, strengthening our knowledge in the areas of system engineering, modern data communication systems as well as a life-cycle approach’, he said
