UK: On January 7 Transport for London announced that Serco Docklands will have its contract to operate the Docklands Light Railway extended by 18 months. The contract extension is worth around £100m and will cover the period from April 2013 to September 2014.

The terms are the same as in the current contract of 2006. Serco will remain responsible for the operation of services, and maintenance of rolling stock and infrastructure.

The extensions to Stratford International, Lewisham and Woolwich Arsenal are not included in the network maintenance, as these are covered under separate arrangements.
