USA: Wagon leasing company American Industrial Transport is incorporating Telegraph’s rail-focused predictive data and technology products into its AITX FleetAX real-time fleet management platform.

Telegraph’s modular products provide predictive intelligence for shipment tracking, telematics, predictive ETAs, demurrage, and centralised billing, giving customers a clearer picture across complex rail logistics.

Combining the technology with the AITX FleetAX platform is intended to allow customers to move beyond reactive fleet management and make clearer, more confident decisions to improve wagon utilisation, control costs and reduce operational uncertainty.

AITX says shippers using the Telegraph products have seen 28% higher wagon utilisation and a 34% reduction in unplanned demurrage costs, with operations teams reducing manual reporting time by an average of 2 h per shift enabling them to focus on higher-value operational decisions.

‘Our customers are operating in an environment where predictability matters more than ever’, said AITX Chief Commercial Officer Tina Beckberger on January 14. ’By delivering Telegraph’s predictive intelligence directly to our customers through our platform, we are providing enhanced railcar visibility that enables better decision making and more efficient fleet management.’

Telegraph CEO Harris Ligon said ‘our focus has always been on making rail operations easier to manage through practical, predictive technology. Partnering with AITX allows us to deliver that capability at scale, directly within the workflows fleet managers rely on every day.’
