SWITZERLAND: Nencki has supplied BLS with a catenary assembly system which is designed to increase productivity when exchanging wires. Nencki says it will be of particular interest to operators of relatively small electrified networks.
Hydraulic hoists handle the cable drum directly. The machine provides continuous unwinding of the cable, with the correct mechanical tension applied independently of the movement of the vehicle.
