INNOTRANS: Interautomation Deutchland GmbH will present the Deep Learning Unit, an AI-capable train server with railway certification. The DLU-110 is constructed with Nvidia Jetson Architecture and able to perform computationally-intensive AI analysis of neural networks onboard a rail vehicle.
As an IoT edge device, the DLU-110 is equipped with two network interfaces, serial bus interfaces and up to 9 TB of SSD hard disk storage. Typical usage includes all types of video analytics, seat occupancy detection, soiling detection and other functions that require the extra processing power typically only available from a dedicated GPU.
In addition to the new hardware, Interautomation will also be showcasing its ITCS InCloud platform for operational management in the control centre. This can integrate management of the operating staff and vehicles, visual and acoustic passenger information and automatic passenger counting
