ADLATUS: Ulm-based Adlatus Robotics is showing the CR 700 autonomous cleaning robot at InnoTrans 2018.

Adlatus has been developing cleaning robots since 2015 and earlier this year won DB’s Automated Cleaning Challenge. It is currently testing the CR 700 at Ulm Hbf, and intends to trial it at DB depots in the future.

The battery-powered robot is controlled using a mobile device that is connected to it via wi-fi. It can clean for 3 to 5 h between charges, and when the batteries need charging or a water tank needs emptying or refilling, it will automatically go to the service station.

The robot is 1 000 mm long, 755 mm wide and 980 mm high. It is equipped with lasers and other sensors to detect obstacles.
