Started operations in 2005 when Watco leased three lines in Mississippi and Alabama from Kansas City Southern. ABS runs eastwards from Columbus, Mississippi, to Tuscaloosa and Brookwood, Alabama, with trackage rights thence to Birmingham. Connections to KCS at Columbus, NS at Tuscaloosa and CSX at Birmingham.
