Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority

The railway from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to New Kapiri M'Poshi, Zambia, was opened in 1976. The gauge difference prevents physical connection with Tanzania's other railways, and Tazara is a separate undertaking. The route length comprises 961 km in Tanzania and 891 km in Zambia.
