A raft of changes to the management positions at Russian Railways was announced in late January. Following the promotion of Mikhail Akulov (photo) to the position of Vice-President, Peter Ivanov is to succeed him as head of the Federal Passenger Company, RZD’s inter-city business unit.

Victor Golomolzin has been appointed Director-General of the Kaliningradskaya Railway, while Vladimir Goloskokov has been appointed to the same role at the Oktyabrskaya Railway, following the promotion of Valinsky Sergeyevich to RZD Vice-President. Vladimir Pyastolova becomes Director-General of the Severo-Kavkazskaya Railway, the North Caucasian network headquartered in Rostov-na-Donu.
