NORTH AMERICA: A Class 1 railway has ordered a pilot installation of TekTracking's Safety Light Monitor, which is designed to measure and verify the operation of signal, level crossing and other safety-critical lights.
The wireless, self-powered and robust multi-sensor devices are designed to operate for more than 10 years without intervention.
‘With SLM, fully automated test and inspection of crossing and signal locations is now viable, and this promises even greater safety gains for motorists and railway workers’, said CEO Greg Fogarty.
